About:
The Ifelodun community is one of Epe’s underdeveloped communities.

Goal & Opportunity:
The visit to the community provided SHIFT with the opportunity to engage in open discussions with community members about community issues. For the past 15 years, the community has been suffering from a lack of electrical power supply. Governance, security, infrastructure, and development are all issues that affect the community.

Impact:
The landlords of the communities have invested approximately 3.5 million Naira in the installation of electricity, but the community requires an additional transformer, which will cost 1.5 million Naira. Members of the community were able to purchase cement poles (30) and wire (2 lines), which they installed throughout their communities. SHIFT will work with members of the community to complete the project’s funding.
